Social Bookmarking is a technique for promoting a website by allowing internet visitors to that website to store its address, and send it forward to their friends and colleagues, who will also probably then visit that website and in turn bookmark it for their own friends and colleagues. In this way, a single visitor to the website could conceivably result in tens, hundreds, or even thousands of additional visitors to that site.
